Money Smart is a basic financial education program designed for Hispanic business owners who have been operating their businesses for at least 1 year and are looking to improve their business practices. The goal of this program is for the business owner to increase their knowledge of key financial concepts and essential skills to grow their business. This initiative is part of the Georgia Community Navigator Pilot Program called ‘NAV-GA’.

What does this program provide?

This program provides:
  • R6-7 week training in financial education
  • RIndividual consultations
  • RPromotion and exposure of your business on GHCC's social media channels and website
  • RNetworking opportunities

What are the requirements to participate?

To be part of the program, you must:
Business with a profit motive
Owned by Hispanics/Latinos
Located/operated in the state of Georgia

Annual revenue of up to $100K

At least 1 full year of business operations.

Planning A Thriving Business is a highly interactive learning experience that encourages participants to focus on planning as an essential business ownership skill.

2: Financial Management

This course provides an overview of financial management of a business and is designed to help participants understand how financial management can benefit their business.

3: Cash/Flow Management

This course is a highly interactive learning experience that encourages participants to focus on cash flow management, also known as cash flow, as an essential skill for a business owner.

4: Credit Information

This course provides an overview of credit reporting and is designed to help participants understand how reporting their credit can benefit their business.

5: Banking Services

This course provides an overview of banking services available to small business owners. It is designed to help participants understand what banking products and services can benefit their business.

6: Tax Planning and Filing

This course provides an overview of tax planning and filing and is designed to help participants understand how taxes can benefit and affect their business.

7: Time Management

This course provides an overview of time management and is designed to help participants understand how time management can benefit their business.
